Innovators to unveil groundbreaking urban infrastructure solutions at IAA TRANSPORTATION
As the IAA TRANSPORTATION kicks off today, APCOA, Europe’s largest car park operator, in collaboration with prototype.club, is thrilled to announce the culmination of their Smart Utilization of Existing Urban Infrastructure challenge. After weeks of intense development, the final innovative solutions are set to be unveiled, promising to revolutionize the way urban infrastructure is utilized across Europe.
Challenge Overview:
This challenge, part of APCOA’s pan-European Urban Hubs strategy, called on innovators to propose groundbreaking ways to transform parking areas into multifunctional urban hubs. The selected finalists present their solutions that include urban warehousing, micro depots, secure bike and motorcycle parking, smart charging stations, and advanced fleet management systems.

The created solutions have the potential to reshape urban environments, making them more efficient, sustainable, and adaptable to future needs. This is not just an exhibition of ideas but a real-world application of innovative thinking, supported by APCOA and guided by the experts from prototype.club.

The most promising solutions will not only receive immediate recognition, but also the opportunity to partner up with APCOA and work on their ongoing Urban Hubs projects. This is a significant step towards creating smarter, more connected urban spaces.
