At APCOA, sustainability isn’t just a goal – it’s at the heart of everything we do. This belief defines how we operate, make decisions, and measure success. As Europe’s No. 1 car park operator, we have a duty to ensure we shape the future of parking in the most sustainable and ethical way.

Over the past five years, we have made strong progress in embedding ESG at the heart of our organisation, turning commitment into action and ambition into results. Across all our markets, our teams are driving meaningful change: reducing our Environmental impact, strengthening our Social contribution, and upholding the highest standards of Governance.

Environmental: Reducing Our Impact

We measure and reduce our environmental footprint across all operations, tracking Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, in partnership with First Climate. We report annually on progress toward our Net Zero ambitions.

Over the past five years, we have made significant progress, with 90% of the APCOA Group now using renewable electricity and decarbonisation plans launched group-wide. We continue to work towards EV100, with our Group fleet now at 52% EV/Hybrid.

Social: Putting People First

Our people are central to our success. We promote a diverse and inclusive workforce and have a Group-wide social policy focused on five areas: human rights, modern slavery prevention, a safe and sustainable workplace, strong employment relationships, and local community support. We are also proud signatories of the UN Global Compact.

Since 2021 we have continued to enhance our health and safety standards and metrics, reinforcing a culture where everyone feels empowered to speak up and take ownership of safe working environments

Governance: Accountability in Action

We maintain strong governance through clear policies, standards, and guidelines that are regularly reviewed and audited. A culture of accountability and risk awareness is supported by ongoing training and local expertise. Under the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), we have strengthened how we identify, manage, and report ESG impacts. APCOA’s approach includes adhering to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), disclosing EU Taxonomy alignment, and conducting a double materiality assessment.
