Stuttgart, February 21st, 2014 - APCOA PARKING has signed five new contracts covering management of parking sites scheduled to become operational in 2014 and 2015 respectively. In August of 2014 the parking garage of MBS Arena (named after the main sponsor Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse) will open in Potsdam. APCOA PARKING will manage over 200 parking spaces at the site of this multipurpose sports arena with room for more than 2000 visitors, located in the “Sportpark Luftschiffhafen”.
October then, following a revitalizing overhaul of the entire site, will see the opening of the Gabelsberger Strasse parking garage in Fürth. APCOA PARKING will manage 690 parking spaces at the location situated opposite an area dominated by grocery retailers and cinemas.
Also in autumn, probably in November, the new parking garage of the Flensburg Karstadt department store will be finished, offering 490 parking spaces.
In the year 2015 two new APCOA locations are planned to be opened in Saxonia. In Dresden APCOA PARKING will manage a new underground car park with about 300 parking spaces at the site of the new shopping centre Straßburger Platz. Located just opposite, and likely to add to the new garage’s parking frequency, is Volkswagen cars’ “transparent manufactory” where the new VW Phaeton model is assembled.
In Leipzig APCOA PARKING is commissioned to manage 80 parking spaces in underground car parks for two hotels (IBIS and IBIS Budget) of the Accor Group. The hotels are located in the immediate vicinity of the “Bildermuseum” and the “Höfe am Brühl” shopping centre.
