At APCOA, we believe it is our responsibility to grow and develop as a company in innovative, and sustainable ways. We have therefore introduced a group wide ESG initiative and have appointed a Group Director ESG to drive fast forward our activities centred around the three main pillars:
APCOA has made a commitment across the APCOA Group to measure the Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, calculated in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. To do so, we are partnering with First Climate. Going forward, we will annually report our progress against our carbon reduction targets and the associated initiatives we have taken in our journey to achieve net zero.
Our people are our business, and we are proud to say that we employ colleagues from a diverse range of backgrounds and experience. To provide and ensure an attractive work place, we have installed a Group wide policy on social aspects that incorporate the five pillars: human rights, modern slavery, sustainable work environment, employment relations an support of the local communities we serve.
APCOA has installed a comprehensive set of corporate governance guidelines, policies and standards which are audited on a regular basis. Through continuous trainings, we have developed a strong risk awareness culture across all our organizations which is also supported by specialized local teams.
Our reports on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) on a country basis which are available for download are just one of the ways that we are reinforcing our commitment to our colleagues, our customers, our clients and suppliers, our communities, and the environment we work in across our markets. In addition we have joined the UN Global Compact which provides a framework for developing a more sustainable and responsible business.
